The staff were great, the hotel also gave free yakult and local hida milk, plus Yukatas available for all guests. I really loved this hotel and wish we stayed longer. Worth it!

Stayed here after hiking in Kamikochi. Incredible value for money. We used the private outdoor baths multiple times and they were really nice. The room and staff were lovely as well!

We had a great stay in this little ryokan run by a friendly old lady who goes out of her way to make travellers feel welcome. It's an old house with an outdoor hot spring (we had the place to ourselves!). In the evening you can have dinner in the house (various options). The breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an authentic experience in the area. You might need a car if you want to reach the ryokan easily.
