First of all, I can't say enough for the owner Prasad. 6-star hospitality!!! Excellent breakfast, super clean, gave us very helpful tips and suggested excellent places. He really seems to love what he is doing and really cared about us. In the second night I was feeling sick, and he woke up like at 3 o'clock in the morning and went with his car to get me some paracetamol! The room was super clean with lovely smell and all amenities. Even towels for the beach! Laundry services as well. Every day the room was cleaned up. Thank you, Prasad!! Totally recommended!!!

Location was superb, set back off the Main Street from Mirissa town just enough so that no noise could be heard apart from the birds and monkeys swinging from the trees but also less than a 5 minute walk into Mirissa town for all the bars and restaurants and the beach front. The hosts and all the staff were extremely friendly and felt you had everything you needed. The villa we stayed in had a private infinity pool looking out into the jungle and an outdoor shower which gave the place a luxury feel at such a low price. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious and included lots of Sri Lankan dishes, it also varied each day so it was nice to not have the same thing.

We had the most incredible stay at JJ’s Hostel, spending eight nights in a private room, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and cleaned regularly, ensuring a relaxing and pleasant stay. The bathrooms were modern and spotless, and the entire property had a warm, welcoming feel. One of the highlights was the fantastic swimming pool—calm, clean, and the perfect place to unwind. The location is ideal, tucked away on a quiet street but just a short walk from the main road, beach, bars, and restaurants. It strikes the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. However, what truly makes JJ’s special is the staff. Lawrence and Iranga at reception went above and beyond to assist us, from booking trips to making sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and genuine hospitality made a huge difference. The kitchen and cleaning staff were equally wonderful, always friendly and attentive. A special mention goes to Sophie, whose yoga classes were a highlight of our mornings, and Heaven, who made the social trips and activities so enjoyable. The atmosphere at JJ’s is unique—it felt like being part of one big family. This is not a party hostel, but rather a place where guests respect and welcome each other, creating a relaxed and friendly environment. If you’re looking for a place that offers comfort, cleanliness, a great location, and the most amazing staff, JJ’s is the place to be. We can’t recommend it enough!

This was by far the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Rooms were amazing. Everything worked perfectly. The property is very quiet and peaceful. The host goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. Breakfast was delicious too.

Really lovely space. The staff were lovely. So kind and accommodating. We had a late flight so after checking out, they let us leave our bags with them for the day and let us use a shower before heading to the airport! Really generous. It’s right beside the beach and beside popular restaurants.

Me and my partner originally booked 3 nights, but we were so satisfied we decided to cancel other bookings and extend our stay in Peacock Villa for 3 more nights. Staff was very helpful and polite, they always helped with ordering tuktuks. When we arrived very late, they made us coffee, no questions asked. Breakfast was amazing, we could choose from 3 options each morning. Pool is very clean and the surroundings are beautiful. The view from our balcony was our favorite part - the jungle and a lot of monkeys (visiting us on balcony), birds, and trees full of fireflies😍 Beach was only 10 minutes walking distance. We highly recommend this place and would always come back!
