Hotels in Rabat Medina, Rabat

The highlight of our stay were the staff. From the smiling housekeeping women, to the softly singing cook, everyone made sure we felt welcome and had anything we might need. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and while some tiles are chipped, it only intensifies the charm and further adds to the rustic look. The room was also very satisfactory, both in terms of size and comfort, and the amenities. The cleaning was done daily, and the toiletries were replaced. The décor gives off a cozy atmosphere. The bed was large and comfortable, and while the room is not gigantic, it provides more than enough space to spread out after a day of exploring Rabat. Speaking of exploring, the riad is 10 minutes away from the Rabat Ville central train station, and most of the museums and gardens are within 30 minutes walking distance. The building itself is located in a nice street filled with potted shrubs and greenery, just off the main street of the Medina. The breakfast was served on time, and it encompasses sweet pastries, jam and honey, butter, yogurt, tea and coffee, as well as fresh fruit. It was filling, and kept us fed nicely until lunchtime. Finally, like in most riads, there's a beautiful rooftop terrace, as well the sitting area in the central courtyard. Unlike other riads, this one has a vibe of a real hotel, while not sacrificing it's charm and intimacy. One thing to also note is that we had no problems with noise, which was a problem we had in all other riads we stayed at.

It's a beautiful hotel in old Medina. Tre stuff is very kind, the rooms are cozy. Very nice place!

The breakfast was really great and set us up for a full morning of walking the city. Fresh fruit , homemade yogurt, pastries, crepes, brooch and bread, fresh juice and great coffee. The staff esp Fadoua were a great help w information and bookings.

Everything was simply perfect. I cannot say how comfortable and welcomed we felt during our stay!

Excellent location in the middle of the Medina, a short walk from the marina. the hosts are so incredibly kind, and this is by far the cleanest place we stayed in so far in Morocco. I had to go through a job interview whilst being there, and the Riad was quiet (despite it being full) with reliable Wi-Fi! All in all tip top, and will definitely come back!

It's a clean and nice place in a very good location. The staff is fantastic. I made a mistake with the booking, I booked for less persons accidentally, but they gave our rooms and did not ask for extra money. Hamza is very kind and helpful. He also offered a tuk-tuk ride for a good price and a restaurant which we enjoyed so much

The Riad is a charming mix of modern-zen and classic Moroccan interior design, done with very good taste. Behind the door, in an alley of the busy Medina, a vision of serenity and refined elegance opens up: the first courtyard is occupied by a pool (whose bright blue contrasts with the white washed walls) and in which banana trees, palms and yuccas of the hanging garden are reflected. Behind, an annex belonging to a 14th century riad , carefully restored , displays a glorious courtyard, richly decorated with traditional elements (Moorish arches, zellige, fountain); everywhere beautifully carved windows and doors, that open into the rooms (not large, but furnished in a refreshing modern style, with a few touches of local craftsmanship) and meticulously chosen details, as the modern paintings in the common areas. Some rooms (like ours, Pasha) offer spectacular views on the hanging garden and the pool, and the whole Riad becomes particularly suggestive in the evening, when the lights are turned on. Breakfast and dinner (on request) are served in the hall facing the swimming pool, and they are both exquisite - the white cheese and black olive tapenade are delicious- The icing on the cake is the fantastic staff: from the receptionists to the cook to the waiters to the cleaning ladies, everyone is efficient and kind, meeting the needs of the guests always with a smile. We have made three trips in Morocco, done long itineraries and stopped in many Riads, but Riad Zyo is certainly not only the best in Rabat, but in the top list of those we have frequented, for the art-gallery style of its minimalist elegance, matched with the charming attitude in the reception and services, typical of the true Moroccan hospitality. The hosts are very kind and prepare a fresh breakfast every morning. The apartment is located in a quiet alley, not far from the Old Market. It was always clean and had a pleasant scent. Would recommend.

We stayed three nights at Aida and had the pleasure of meeting Majid, who together with the rest of the staff, was absolutely a fantastic and kind host. We have rarely experienced such hospitality by an accommodation provider and felt right at home. The location is super central and reachable by foot in 20 minutes from Rabat Ville train station. The accommodation is located within the medina aerea, very close to the beach and the seafront. Although the area is very busy, the riad is in a very quiet area, so you can enjoy a nice rest after spending the day around the city. Majid is a great person and is committed to the wellbeing of all the guests. If you are looking for a super riad in Rabat you must definitely book your stay here. You will not be disappointed!
