The communication was amazing and the location lovely. Everything was perfect. We rented bikes from Starbikes and explored the city.

This design hostel Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost is 3 km away from the city centre. It shares its building with a cinema and theater and is situated in a former school in the Zeeburg district.

Family of 6 in a 7 bunk room. I wasn’t sure a hostel would be ok for a family (61, 68, 40, 41 and two 14 year olds), but I was wrong. We loved it. Clean bedding provided. Comfy beds with own light and power point. Close to tram and trains and walking distance to restaurants, bakeries and bike rental. Large dining and lounging area. Let us house our bags before and after check in and check out. Music playing was unreal. Kids enjoyed fusbal. Free water to fill up water bottles.

The staff at this property were excellent. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and well maintained. Location was excellent for us but is not bang in the centre of old Amsterdam. It is however a very short tram ride into the centre.
