This was one of the best appointed accomodation places we have visited, both at home & here in NZ. The space itself is extremely comfortable, has everything we could need & is in a very central location. A very thoughtful & generous host.

A nice, clean and well maintained hostel in the middle of Nelson. The staff works hard, Royce and Linda are always there to help you and make you feel at home. We have been back here three times and recommend everyone to sleep at the YHA Nelson.

The location was close to the city centre and restaurants. Fresh milk each day was a bonus. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed.

We are a family of three, parents with a teenager, staying here for two nights. Our room has an outdoor table and four chairs, so we had our take-outs in the second evening and enjoyed the fantastic panoramic view. The location is at the end of an uphill. It's very quiet. We really loved the atmosphere during sunrise and sunset.

Keep it simple with our classic studio, relax and unwind in the spa studio, feel at home in our garden studio or bring the family and stay in the king studios.

Wow my whole experience here was fantastic. I received a very warm welcome from the host Paulina. She’s lovely and is really easy to chat too. When I arrived she let me know about a carnival that was happening in town that night which I immediately went to. It was great and I’d never have known if she hadn’t said - very thoughtful. The house is really special - full of character, just like the host. Room had everything I could want and was very comfortable and clean. Shared bathroom with bath and shower was excellent. Room had its own balcony too with a lovely view. Location is superb as the town was just a few minutes walk away. Parking was just down the drive - very secure and close. Breakfast in the morning was so good and thoughtfully done. Amazing. I enjoyed every second staying in this beautiful house and meeting its charming owner.
