This resort was absolutely breathtaking. It is built on the cliff side and has surrounding views of the ocean. The restaurant was right over the water and our room had scenic views of the sunrise. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect for those who want to experience the island life but also want tranquility and relaxation. We would definitely stay here again!

I loved my stay here. Closca Hostel is run by a lovely couple and is located in the local village, about 15 mins walk from the pier and the southern beach. It's quiet, super chilled and very clean. Everyone staying was lovely (age range was mid 20s to mid 30s, no drunken or disrespectful shenanigans thankfully), and I made really good friends. I'd love to come back.

Outstanding! Amazing! Spectacular! There are so many positive things to say about this hostel. This place is honestly a home away from home. I booked 4 nights, ended up extending as per the wonderland experience. This place is very social and attracts the right kind of people. Dorms and common areas are always kept clean, with showers and toilet being separate which is always a plus. Very environmentally friendly with no single use plastic and seperate recycling bins. A big shout out to the wonderland crew, especially Melissa, the outings were awesome girl, volleyball was such a highlight. Team Wonderland xx

The place is renovated. Everything looks nice and shiny. Location is good. It’s on the island, so everywhere is five minutes away from where you are. When you wake up you can have some tea and coffee. If you have any questions or need some help, Jesus is there to help you. Thank you for everything.

Great hotel on Koh Tao! Our room was very large and bright and well equipped. The rooms are cleaned every day. The lounge area is very cozy and there is even a pool table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Koh Tao is a hectic town, not a place to look for peace and quiet. Thankfully, Freedom Beach resort is located in a very quiet area with a private beach. If it wasn't for this resort, we would have left the island on the same day. The room was amazing, the grounds beautiful, the beach kept clean and the breakfast was well stocked with Thai, western breakfast and fresh fruits. The only reason i would come back to Koh Tao is to stay at tgis resort. We are retired and of age to get high or drunk every night.
