Once you understand that you will be living with a local community this place is fabulous. Location of the room was amazing for sunrise and bird watching - we could see many eagles, king fishers and other birds. It was fantastic. The design of the little hut was cute and unique and the family running the business sweet and helpful.

Ton, the manager, is a lovely person and very helpful. The guesthouse has been furnished with a lot of passion. The location is very quiet and the old town is lovely in the evenings. For breakfast stroll around and ask for the menu.

A selection of small wooden cabins, either set up for twin or double beds, a nice little terrace on each, a decent indoor space... wardrobe, fridge, table, TV, clothes airer! Excellent air-conditioning... room service & laundry not a related business, but within the compound area. Very friendly, very welcoming, very peaceful! Good WIFI! 1000% recommend!

The host and her family were wonderful. They attended to all our needs and went above and beyond. For example, if we woke up late, they would save us some breakfast. They gave us bottled water everyday without fail. They even took us to old town so we could get a moped and on our last day they came with us to drop the moped back and give us a lift home. You will love your stay here. Apart from this, waking up with the sea splashing underneath you is amazing, and you have amazing views of sunrise and sunset. The room was modern and super clean with a shower that has really good pressure! You must stay here if you visit Koh Lanta! We were so sad to go and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Mangrove House is an exceptional place with a very hospitable manager, Kai. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with fresh fruit! The premises are so beautiful, and taken care after. One feels like being at home. It is in the center of town (Lanta Old Town is lovely and different than any other place we have been in Thailand) yet very calm. The room was very spacious and very comfortable, had all the amenities needed. It was marvelous to sleep right next to the sea. We spent a lot of time enjoying the view and the sound of the waves on the terrace. It was deifinitely one of the most beautiful places we stayed during the trip - and we are looking forward to come back in the future!

This was great value for money. We had virtually a whole house to ourselves. We were honestly dissappinted to only be staying for one night. Such a unique little property, but so nice. Lovely rooms, great bathroom, handy kitchen and overall great vibes.
