Hostel in an historical old building. The interior design is great with a lot of social spaces. Rooftop at 5th floor has a terrace. Kitchen is fully equipped but prepare your own condiments like salt and oil. Despite the 10 beds room, it doesn’t feel congested. But the noise from other travellers could be easily heard. Earplugs are given free at reception. En-suite bathroom is nice and clean too.

I have to start by saying that how the bungalow is located and how it looks is absolutely amazing and wowed us. When choosing this hostel, take the bungalow if it is available! The price is also very good. Casa Vegana is located on one of the main streets and is surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes, but it is quiet and peaceful. The hostel itself is decorated in a very original style and the bungalow is the finishing touch. The person we contacted was very friendly and helpful, we could not have expected more. As for the facilities in the bungalow, it was everything you would expect. Please note that Casa Vegana is against violence towards animals, so the cooked food is to be of animal origin. There was air conditioning in the bungalow. In general we were delighted, we could not find a better place in Montevideo.
