A Hidden Gem Along the Shala River – Highly Recommended! Staying at Livadhi Guesthouse was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Albania. Nestled deep along the breathtaking Shala River, the journey there — a 45-minute boat ride through dramatic canyons and pristine nature — is an experience in itself. The guesthouse is beautifully located, offering stunning river views, crystal-clear water for swimming, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. I highly recommend staying at least two nights. While one day is enough to enjoy the scenery and activities, it’s in the quiet mornings — when the mist hangs low over the river and everything is still — that you truly feel the magic of this place. A big thank you to Marius and his team, who were incredibly kind and helpful. I had mistakenly booked the wrong room, but they went out of their way to make sure everything was sorted quickly and smoothly. Their hospitality made all the difference. Whether you’re looking for adventure, nature, or just some true tranquility, Livadhi Guesthouse delivers on all fronts. We really loved our stay!

The guesthouse has only 2 years that is opened it is absolutely brand new. The room was perfect with river view, exceptionally clean and the sheet were smelling so good! The place itself is incredibile and the way to reach it is simply beautiful and part of the journey. The family running the place has a strong personal history The place is a must-see of Albania, we learnt that the North-Tournism is kind of hidden in the country in favour of the South Coast to be 'preserved'. We invite everybody to come and visit this little gem instead which has more than wilderness to offer, you will find a great atmosphere and great people. Among all the other guesthouses of the place we love this one above all! Great breakfast, it has a bar and a restaurant with delicious food.

What a beautiful place! You can really see how much hard work has gone into creating this accommodation, and it was so special hearing about their journey so far and the exciting plans still to come. We originally came to see Shala River (just a 5 min free boat ride away) but we actually enjoyed Komani Lake more! The water is a comfortable temperature to swim in and the surroundings are stunning. The free breakfast was fresh and delicious and we also had dinner (pork, fried vegetables and potatoes), which was so delicious too. Having free kayaks, sunbeds, and the shuttle service to Shala River made our stay even better. Alex is such a wonderful host, so kind and welcoming 😊 This was such a memorable experience, and we’re so glad we chose to stay here. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Riverside Komani Lake was fabulous. The journey started with a very enjoyable boat transfer from the port which took about 1 hour. Everything was organised via WhatsApp. The location is very remote, beautiful and peaceful. The views of the lake and mountains are amazing. We enjoyed sunbathing, swimming in the lake, kayaking and relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake. The property offers a free boat trip to Shala river. It was a nice outing, but very crowded with load music. We preferred to rather stay at Riverside, playing cards or reading a book. Meals were served on the wooden deck and were very tasty.

With mountain views, 5 Stinet is situated in Koman and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace.

It's a stunning location hotel. We liked everything. Clean big room. Good food. Amazing views. Friendly staff. We visited in September. In the evening it can get cool,so something old sleeve will be beneficial. The hotel irganizes trip to shala river. Another stunning place!

Beautiful stay ♥️very cozy cottage with air-con and super clean! The family that runs the business they are truly wonderfull people 😊 we were invited to their house to watch how they produce honey. We then tasted some.... unbelieveable experience, especially for my young kids. I also add the breakfast was prepared with love, very, very delicious 🥰 the view from the cottages is fabulous👌please do not miss this authentic albanian stay on your way to Komani Lake, eveything was FANTASTIC😁

We had awesome experience there! David was so nice and helpful with everything, he made us a reservation in his cousin restaurant, the food there was also good like the hotel. We really recommend this place.
