This is a wonderful place to stay, an architecturally special (interwar) building, renovated carefully, generously and thoughtfully to a very high standard and in a lovely location. There is attention to every detail and personal input from the owner who is working hard to make the experience rewarding. There is a feeling of generosity and welcome - it's very easy to highly recommend.

Sissy and the Lenz family were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast exquisite. The area is amazing, so many places with castles and churches and restaurants to visit, if you have a car or by train. The natural beauty of this part of Austria is out if this world. Recommend.

The location is very cozy and quiet, with a lovely inner courtyard and an outdoor breakfast nook. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good, with fresh bread and a delicious homemade apple cake.

Our experience was made exceptional by the manager Mr Zdeněk. We were visiting in the first half of May during the week, hence low season. We were hiking all day from Hnanice, and we needed to eat somewhere at Hardegg that evening. I was informed by the owner that there's limited availability of evening food at Hardegg due to low season. Mr Zdeněk was exceptionally welcoming despite of our delayed arrival (7:30 pm) plus he provided us with a meal of Hungarian sausages, fresh bread and beer! We were exhausted after our 28 km hike and it genuinely felt like we were saved by his hospitality. The following morning he made us exceptionally tasty breakfast. The accommodation is modern, spotless and very comfortable. But the biggest asset is undoubtedly the man, Mr Zdeněk, who runs it.

We booked the hotel on very short notice and everything was ready by the time we reached it! The room was very clean and warm and the beds were comfortable. We also had a very nice view over the river running through the town.
