Roosters Rest is a wonderfull place. The house is big and clean and there is a nice garden with flowers and even some pademelons. The cheese platter and breakfast were more than we could hope for.

Such a pretty old house and garden, lovingly decorated. -comfy bed -good shower -clean If you're into antiseptic impersonal minimalistic design, this is not the place for you. If you like to sit on a squeaky but comfortable 120 year chair in the breakfast room, with beautiful paintings and design elements everywhere and if you like to get a glimpse on what historical tasmanian houses looked like back in the day, you will love it here. There's 3 large but friendly dogs, just so you know.

I was pretty amazed by the little hut I booked. It contained all you need for a stay. Although only for one night I enjoyed having my coffee and my meals on the little terrace. Since it's close to the ocean I watched an amazing sunset. Would definitely book again.

Beautiful accommodation and from first contact Glen and Yvonne were friendly and helpful ensuring we easily found our way. The property is large and well equipped including amongst other things, freshly made bread and everything needed for breakfast. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful accommodation in Devonport, Tasmania. The house exceeded all my expectations—it was not only stunning but also impeccably clean and equipped with every amenity one could need for a comfortable stay. The self-check-in process was seamless and straightforward, making the arrival stress-free. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the lake, which added a serene and relaxing touch to the experience. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, providing the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I truly regret that I only had two nights to enjoy this wonderful place. If I ever return to Devonport, I will undoubtedly choose to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect getaway!

Really warm, friendly welcome, from both of our hosts Gave excellent advice on what to see on our road trip. Rooms were a delight with lots of genuine antique furniture and fittings. Breakfast was served to a really high standard, don't really know how they do it for what they charged.
