The location is fantastic—it's only a short walk to the beach, public BBQ areas, and a playground, making it perfect for families or anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. The unit was clean, well-organized, and came with a designated parking spot, which made everything convenient and hassle-free.

My wife and I visited Sweet Retreat as a base to visit the Southern Great Barrier Reef whilst we were up in Bundaberg. The home is in a beautiful setting with amazing sunsets over the cane fields and loads of kangaroos hopping about at dawn and dusk. At night we loved lighting the fire and watching the stars. Louise was a fantastic host, who gave us lots of tips about Bundaberg, kept the home very clean and even gave us some fresh lemonade made from fruit from the garden.

We loved the gardens, the swimming pool, the restaurant, the location near the beach and the cabin was spacious but could do with a bathroom make over.

Overlooking Burnett River, Riverside Hotel features free on-site parking, just 5 minutes’ drive from the famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery. Air conditioning is standard in all rooms.

Staff were so friendly, we stayed as it was dog friendly. Great location for beach and dog park close by. Unfortunately we didn't find a dog friendly beach.
