So many good things. 1) The place is sweet, homey, clean, cozy (burning woodfire when we arrived in the cold afternoon)--a historic old building with modern updates/renovation. Lots of room. Two floors. 2) All the best values of this unique place, Geel, are embodied in the beautiful host Sophie. Our meeting conversation with her was one of the highlights of a month of travels for me, maybe the best moment of the trip. Very kind hosting--hospitality in the most real and deep sense. Plus: Sophie's husband Paul is a legendary cyclist (hence the name, Velo --94 is the year he won the Cyclo-Cross World Championship)--so cyclists, check it out!

Very friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms, superb breakfast and a great location. Rooms are a bit old, but you would expect that in a historical building. The balcony at the back has a great view. I posted a picture of that

The Building was in an ideal location with free parking a short way away. The Room was immaculately clean, spacious & catered for everything you may need for a short break. Bright & airie during the day & cosy at night. Use of a brand new A/C unit if required. Keyless entry & locking is a great idea as there's no key to keep safe. There were other guests at the property but the apartments are quiet with the exception of a little road noise.
