What a lovely experience staying at this beautiful inn surrounded by nature. The new owners showed so much care and pride for their property and we loved interacting with them, the friendly staff and other guests, which we enjoyed so much. If you prefer lots of privacy, your own space and spectacular views, go for the chalets on the hilltop, they overlook mountains and rivers. They have just been repainted. Sitting on the stunning porch, with a choice of chairs or comfy sofas, enjoying the hummingbirds fly to the feeders was such a highlight especially during breakfast, which was of fantastic quality and choice. On colder days, there is a cozy lounge for relaxing if you wish. We found the location so convenient for exploring Cape Breton as well as the Bras D’Or lakes. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Carl was a great host. We arrived early and our room wasn't quite ready so he invited to use the kayaks while the room was being cleaned. We had a great paddle around a small island and returned to our ready room. The porch area was cozy with beautiful views over the water. We watched the full moon rise. It was a perfect evening and a great day staying at the Dunlop in Baddeck.

We stayed for 9 nights to attend the Celtic Colours Festival so we needed our chalet to be a home-from-home and it delivered. It looks as if it has been fairly recently refurbished. The location was central for all the venues we visited. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. The Laundromat was open 24 hours, which was great for the strange hours we kept! And the views when we opened the curtains in the morning……

Awesome views, right on the water. Very clean and comfortable accommodations with excellent wifi. Vince is a very friendly and accommodating host witha great sense of humour. He provided specific recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area based upon what we wanted to eat and see. Would not hesitate to return or recommend St. Ann's Motel to family and friends.

We had a lovely stay at St Ann’s Motel. We were given some good recommendations of where to visit and eat on our trip to Cape Breton. We booked this as a stopover trip as we were only able to get a queen room with a blow up bed (for a child) but I would recommend staying longer. Many thanks to Tina and Vince

We were a family of 2 adults and one 9 y/o child travelling. This was communicated to the property via booking.com However, the room assigned to us only had 2 twin beds, meaning a very tight and uncomfortable night for 1 adult and 1 child. The manager on duty was kind enough to find us an inflatable mattress and extra linens. This was much appreciated. He also gave us ground coffee in case we didn't want the 3-in-1 default provided in the room.

Very accommodating at check in. We traveled with our daughter, son in law and grandkids and he put us in an adjoining room. The rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaning staff arranged our granddaughters teddy bears differently every day which delighted her immensely. The included breakfast was plentiful, hot and fresh. We are already planning our next stay there.

Beautiful setting right on a massive glass smooth lake. Lots of kids activities, trampolines, pools, ladder ball etc I loved that there was a BBQ I could use.

Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. There was a fridge in the room. Rooms are very spacious. Queen beds can easily accommodate an adult and a child. Staff was courteous to arrange for a microwave oven in lobby at late night to heat the food for our kids. Staff was patient when we checked in late at 10:50 PM which still within their check-in time limit (but still staff can get mad in few other hotels, you never know).
