Doris is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. The whole of the property, including the top floor we stayed in, was immaculately clean. Our top floor room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and really set us up for the day. And Doris is happy to work breakfast at whatever time you want. We were even made a cup of tea brought up to our room after a long day. It was very clear that Doris wants to make sure everyone has a lovely stay in her home

The hotel is new (3 years) and located in the city center. My room was big and comfortable, well equipped and maintained. The cleaning was excellent, and they did everything I asked with a smile. The design of the place is absolutely stunning. It is an actual silo used for coco beans about a 100 years ago. If you are facinated with urban and industrial aesthetics - this place is for you! I liked self check-in process - it is perfect for me, as I prefer less interactions. Everything was available online with simple intructions. The room was spacious enough and big round window is amazing. Cute and healthy breakfast was included. Don't forget to ask for your Basel card for free public transport and museum discounts.
