A beautiful old property (one of the oldest in Zapallar and full of eccentricities and antiques) in a stunning location. Right next to the protected peninsula (wonderful for exploring to hear and really feel the sea) and also to one of the best seafood restaurants in Chile, Chiringuitos. The owner is welcoming and full of stories about the history and surroundings. He organised a small boat trip to the nearby penguin island. The best sleep I had in Chile too, listening to the sea at night.

Loved our stay in this small boutique hotel, which is decorated in a modern and elegant style, but at the same time feels homey and cozy. We had the twin room, with 2 spacious and comfortable beds. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is top with fresh homemade products, we tried the restaurant one evening for dinner and the food was very good as well. We loved this place! It is a very cute small cabin extension to a house with cozy wood fixtures and a rustic but comfortable feel. It's location is great! It's on top of a hill with the ocean visible and only about a 5 minute walk away. The Totus grocery store is also about 5 minutes in the other direction. Everything you will need is close and handy. However it is far enough away from the main street to be quiet and peaceful. It was very clean and tidy, easy to get the keys and any questions we had were answered right away. The owner lives right next door and is very happy to help at any time. We highly recommend this location and it will be at the top of our list for the next time we return to Maitencillo.

The host is reactive, sympathetic, flexible and available. The location is prime if you want to play golf. You need a car if you want to go to the beach though.There is a good restaurant and a mini market on site as well as security to enter the gated community so it is really safe.
