GermanyWent for one night, ended up with 3 nights. Can highly recommend staying with this Korean/Chinese family. The food is amazing and everyone working is so friendly! If one day I get the chance to return to Shangri-la, I'll definitely stay here again.

4. View from the room is fantastic with a large balcony to gaze at the star.
5. Transport, owner got three cars to send us to different hiking locations and for easy pickup upon arrival.

AustraliaThe owner is super friendly, speaks good English and is incredibly welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. He can help you to figure out your plans in ShangriLa and knows the current conditions. The homestay is in a good area, easily accessible by didi, bike etc. Only a short walk to old town and surrounded by lots of shops, food and everything you need. It is a very social and inviting environment with a really nice, big common area with some games, a piano and bar area. We spent a lot of time talking and hanging out with the owner and other guests. Everyone was so fun! When we were there, there was also a beautiful dog who we loved! The room is spacious, has comfy beds and the paintings on the wall were very cute. Thank you and see you again another time :)

AustraliaThe warmth and hospitality of the hosts was amazing. We arrived late, they made dinner for us and gave us fruit while dinner was being prepared. They told us of the attractions, travel time and gave a lift to the train station. The rooms were large and well equipped. The hosts made every effort to ensure we had a great stay.

ItalyEverything was perfect. By far, this was the best hotel we stayed in China. Owners are really friendly, they picked us up from the train station and then took us to the bus terminal when we had to leave. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Definetely we will come back. Highly recommended!!!

FranceThe guesthouse is perfectly located in the center of Shangri-La while still being peaceful and quiet :) It’s clean, cozy, and a great place to relax—I had a wonderful stay there!
But for me, the best part was July, the owner. She speaks English, is incredibly friendly, and helped me plan my trips around Shangri-La and its surroundings. Don’t hesitate to grab a beer with her by the fireplace—it’s the perfect way to end the day!
