For a first time in Columbia, if you want to discover local columbian culture, I can't advise more this hotel for the location, the quarter, the staff and all the comodities in the premises. The hotel is best for working, alone, in couple or family. Dorlis, the boss, Marcella and Mari-cruz are making the place and experience enjoyable. Smiling, amazing and professionals, they will make everything sweeter and make you feel home. They are also cooking breakfast like a chef. 3 options are available. The quarter is far from center, but one bus is going directly there. Good transport connection. There's a bus stop right in front. The quarter is non-touristic, lively, full of restaurants, all kind of cheap shops, delicious bakeries, and a very local atmosphere which I find amazing for someone lusting for local and cultural experience. There's a farmer's market once a week. The hotel is like a 4 star European value. The common area smells flowery, is cozy and calm. The kitchen is accessible with all comodities to cook. The rooms are well furnished and spacious. The best being the king-size bed, the cleanliness, the giant TV with Netflix and Youtube, the big window and feels-like-home atmosphere. The warm sheets and a separate bathroom with warm water are definitely a plus. Strong Wi-fi. All in all, an outstanding value for the price. I strongly recommend.

Great location, Chico. Room looks incredible, there is even carpet on the floor. There are a lot of additional bath/shower accessories, sadly shampoo only in sample bottles. Air conditioning works fast. Elevator is super fancy with views trough the glass and also very fast. Receptionist escorted me to my room and showed me everything, even where light switches are. It felt safe both in the hotel and outside of it. Hotel works on a very high professional level, they speak fluent English too. During my stay in Bogota I used in total 3 hotels, one 5 star and two 4 stars. This hotel, El Dorado, was probably the best of them, even exceeded my expectation compared to the 5 star I used days before.
