You are right in the middle of beautiful scenery (many sights are in walking distance, but the owner offers transport, tours or bike rentals) and hosted by a lovely family. They made it very easy to gain information about getting to the desert and arranged affordable transport to the grey desert and Villavieja for us. It was walkable to the red desert and a short walk to the observatory. The lunch was tasty and they catered for me as a vegetarian. We would absolutely recommend this - it is decorated beautifully, very clean and there are lots of areas to relax and hammocks to chill in after your hike. They are very helpful. When we arrived early in the morning they let us shower and sleep on hamacks and also arranged a trip for us. You can also eat there in affordable prices. Friendly family who cooks delicious meals. About 30min walk from the red desert and an hour walk from the grey desert, but there are also many options of transport if walking is not your thing. The host is very nice and kind family. They welcomed us with ice tea and gave us ice tea every time we came from tour. They managed us guide to Tatacoa desert for very good price. We went on New Year’s Day to Neiva and because there was no Colectivo running that day, they spent many hours to get us affordable transfer to the city.
