The location of this place is just out of this world - a short walk to one of the most beautiful (and next to empty!) beaches I've been to with a difficult to top sunset view. The aircon worked well which was much appreciated. Our room was spacious with a lovely terrace with a hammock. The owner and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Lovely breakfast on the restaurant terrace with a view.

Our stay at this beautiful hotel was simply perfect! The rooms are nice, clean, cozy, and well-appointed, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The view of the swimming pool is beautiful, and the peacefulness of the place made for a truly relaxing experience. A special thanks to the very kind staff, who were always helpful and made us feel at home. The typical breakfast was delicious, featuring local products that added a special touch to our mornings. The nearby beach was really beautiful, with warm sea water and many palm trees providing shade, making it the perfect place to relax in the sun. We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking comfort, excellent service, and an authentic, unforgettable experience.

El Colibri is a true hidden gem a hop skip and jump from the amazingly beautiful Playa Carrillo. This is our third stay at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt welcomed and treated as family. The room was spacious and exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable, and the little kitchenette had all the conveniences to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The two pools were just right for a dip to get out of the midday sun and with the beach a mere five-minute walk away was so convenient for an early morning swim and walk. Breakfast, which was included, was a choice of local or American with a la carte choices as well. We had dinner one night at their wonderful restaurant where my steak was done to perfection. Did I say we had a wonderful stay? :-)

The host (Arnaud) is a great person and his team is very attentive! We felt immediately at home in this charming and cosy place. Our Bungalow in the middle of the forest had everything we needed and more. It was the biggest and most comfy bed we've slept in during our time in Costa Rica. Everything was clean and worked well. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the pool, in the middle of a huge garden. It was a charming stay and we would have loved to stay longer!

I enjoyed my stay very much!! The area of the hotel is beautiful, plenty of green plants! Ubicated at the center of Puerto Carrillo and with walk distance to Carrillo beach. Swimming pool is a nice bonus! I can recommend :-)
