The host was so friendly, helpful, and charming - he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had a spectacular view of Lake Arenal, and the sunset was fantastic. We were treated to a delicious breakfast with gallo pinto, scrambled eggs, ham, local fruit and cheese, and homemade gluten free bread with local coffee and fruit juice.

The space, we were a family of four and we each had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The house had everything needed including a large laundry room with a washer and dryer! We enjoyed a barbecue on the large outdoor patio, which has stunning views.

The room was spacious and nice. It is located in between a couple of amazing sightseeing spots and is great to use as a base camp. Kees, the owner, is really helpful and friendly. Even before the trip he helped us a lot with putting our trip together. And when a sloth was in the yard of the hotel, he came to show us.

    Mystica is a number lodges that are grouped in an extraordinarily beautiful garden. The rooms themselves are simple but spacious and offer everything you need. From the deck the view across lake arenal and Arenal itself - if it is not in the clouds - are absolutely breathtaking, mystic. It is also very quiet. The place is clearly aiming at yoga guests but others are welcomed as well. Dinner and breakfast are okay, but not as excellently Italian as other reviews described.
