It is set in the mountains so it really feels like you are away from the world and completely in nature. The facilities were great and had everything we needed. We even explored the trail down to the picnic site and river (it was dry so we could explore a lot). And we loved it! The top balcony is also super nice. I loved that my dog was allowed!! The Villazul property has a lovely view of the valley and we really enjoyed the upstairs section of the tiny house which is where the beds are located. The lower part of the tiny house is jam-packed with furniture, so felt hard to move around in. There was a spa in front of our place, but we had no idea how to use it and it didn't appear to be filled with water anyway. One thing to note - the location is certainly remote and the wind that barrels down off the side of the volcano is incredibly strong and relentless. It was probably our most expensive accommodation in Costa Rica and for us personally, the 'bang for the buck' just wasn't quite there unfortunately.

The cabina is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Great to meet and talk with the host about the property and his coffee growing efforts. So peaceful and relaxing there. Also, a steep paved shortcut straight up the mountain from the cabin to the Poas Volcano entrance.

Kevin and Tannia, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived in the late evening. Tannia drove us to the nearby grocery store to buy few essentials. The bungalow was facing tropical forest and had mountain view. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of nature and feel very relaxing. An exceptional place to enjoy the quite place. The facilities are extremely good and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with great view over looking the mountains. I recommend the hotel for the other guests and families.

Lovely hosts - communicative and welcoming. The room was beautiful with lovely views and big windows. Good basic kitchen facilities (kettle, microwave, washing up equipment). Bed was superb - huge and very comfortable! Delicious breakfast.
