The room was spacious and nice. It is located in between a couple of amazing sightseeing spots and is great to use as a base camp. Kees, the owner, is really helpful and friendly. Even before the trip he helped us a lot with putting our trip together. And when a sloth was in the yard of the hotel, he came to show us.

The past reviews are true: this is a marvelous home of two amazing hosts which I am so glad we met. The suite room is very comfortable with an amazing bed and very large bathroom. Almost royalty! Comfortable, nicely decorated, spacious room. The views from the balcony are great and although we were not very lucky with the weather, we really enjoyed our stay at Lucky Bug B&B. The hosts are really friendly and helpful.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy the true pura vida of Costa Rica. The view is stunning, and all you can hear is the sound of nature, especially the birds singing. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the space is cozy and very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and different every day – a lovely surprise! There are several good restaurants, supermarkets, and gas stations nearby, which is very convenient. Carole and Paul were outstanding hosts, always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. It was an amazing stay in every way!

The host was so friendly, helpful, and charming - he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had a spectacular view of Lake Arenal, and the sunset was fantastic. We were treated to a delicious breakfast with gallo pinto, scrambled eggs, ham, local fruit and cheese, and homemade gluten free bread with local coffee and fruit juice.

The hutch is quite luxurious, well above the standard of comparable places we had in Costa Rica. The balcony at the back of the house has splendid views with lots of birds and butterflies flying and buzzing around. Hosts (including the two dogs) are really nice and friendly.
