We had been there before the pandemic and loved much. So we came again. All staff is polite and heplful. Hotel was renovated and very clean. Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Spa and pool area are nice. Food is perfect like a fine dining restaurant. You can find everything you want and more for breakfast. If you are planing a holiday at Garmisch, this hotel is definitely the best.

The breakfast was exceptional and the host was very friendly.

This privately owned Alpine-style design hotel is located in the centre of Oberammergau, 700 metres from the Passion Theatre. Hotel Maximilian offers design rooms and a spa area.

The room was large, comfortable, quiet and with nice furniture and decoration. The bed was really good. The bathroom was big and nice, although we took some time to find the way to lower a curtain which closed the view of the bathroom from the rest of the room. The location was convenient, and the parking place closeby and not too expensive. Breakfast was excellent. The staff, apparently made of a single lady not always on the premises (but we were definitely during the off-season), was extremely nice and friendly. Everything worked OK.
