This five-generation old hotel is clearly an institution in this area and they deserve the fine reputation that they enjoy. Our stay was wonderful; the room was clean and comfortable, the guests were all happy (which made us happy), and the general atmosphere was friendly and convivial. Breakfast was outstanding with good quality food being served. We also had two very good dinners at the hotel, which I would rate as the best we have eaten at in our one-month holiday. Great location with lots of wonderful walks and trails nearby.

EVERYTHING! We absolutely adored our stay here and did not want to leave. The view was incredible, the bed was so comfortable, room was clean, spacious and warm with everything we needed. Quiet location yet easily accessible by train and ferry.
