The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. Katy and Ferando are very friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Also the breakfast is really good We took also dinner in the hotel: especially the chicken we liked very much, we would really recommend having dinner at this place.

El Descanso is trully a hidden gem in Mindo. It is composed of two major wooden buildings around a secured yard. We especially loved the architecture of the buildings as it is authentic and lovely to watch. Its pergola where we ate really tasty breakfast is also the best spot to watch birds, hummingbirds and small forest animals. We did not expect that and it was the best spot in Mindo! The accomodation is very well maintained and the owner Rodney was always there willing to help us. We really spent lovely 4 days there and would definitelly like to come back again anytime in the future.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and served a really nice breakfast. The room, our own terrace, but also the hotel garden were all beautiful. The bathroom was very big and clean and had a nice jacuzzi. We will come back here for sure.

Room was spacious with view overlooking the garden. We got a bag full of laundry done for just $5. We love the location. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very affordable although we did not get to try it.

This is one of the best hotels we stayed ever. Marco is super kind, helpful and very passionate about this place and everyone that is coming there. If you go to Mindo you HAVE to stay there! The pool area is very nice, the food is delicious, it‘s even in walking distance to the city center and the cable car to do some great hikes. Marco will also support you planning your days.

Located on the riverbank, Saguamby Mindo Lodge offers private access to the river in Mindo. The property is just an 8-minute walk from the city center and a 2-hour drive from Quito, Ecuador.
