Navigation and communication. We sent a message through Bookingdotcom to say we will arrive between 4and 5. The process of passing messages through Booking is too slow to be of any help in real time. We had a long trip from Valencia and the phone number provided on the platform says it’s unavailable. We were lucky to find a lovely local lady who said that verbal directions would not help us and was kind enough to walk with us to show us the road in. Driving on Avenida del Cidacos there is a semi-circular bend in the road and you can see Calle yasa which runs under a bridge below Avenida del Cidacos. This is the road to access the accommodation. The only way to access it is to drive up as if going up the hill and do a 3 point turn to come back down under the bridge. See attached photos. I had more photos prepared but can only attach 4. I hope this helps fellow travellers as this accommodation and the local area is a wonderful treat and worth the effort to get there. It’s fine when you’ve done it once. There is space to park near the river, drive down as far as you can. If you arrive around 5pm and cannot find anyone go to the tourism door and knock on there, you will get a response eventually. We parked outside the old bodega bar when we got there as we didn’t know where to go or where to park. The owner spoke to us briefly on the phone and we agreed to WhatsApp to communicate which is absolutely fine. His partner met us and brought us to the apartment and we really appreciated that. They forgot to ask us to pay and I hadn’t realised that Booking arrangement was pay on the day. We will arrange payment online but would have been happier to pay there and then. Accommodation. It’s a building full of history. If you are claustrophobic it may not suit. We loved it, a sitting and dining area with a Juliet balcony offering a beautiful view of the mountain above, you can also see the neighbour opposite and it makes you realise how little privacy the occupants would have...
