This place is simply amazing. Room and restaurants were totally nice, good food, good drinks,, bed was perfectly comfy, you could do a lot of activities so you never get bored! But the absolute best was each and everyone of the staff members, from Jossi and Tarsula to Matt and Knox and Abu and i can not remember each name- they made you feel so welcome, i already miss them!

It was amazing. Me and my friends went there for 3 days, we lived some days in paradise. It was a full wild experience. If you want to live some days in the nature you have to go there. The staff was AMAZING so kind. I want to come back

What a wonderful and memorable stay in a traditional Fijian village. We liked it so much that we ended up staying in Soso village for a month. Silo, Bill, Va, Rob, Simi, Luisa and Iki, we will never forget the great time we had with you. You took good care of us, prepared extra food for the children and helped us when they got sick. As for the village. The people are very friendly, with a lot of children, so our kids made friends instantly. The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with a nice healthy reef to snorkel and there are some nice hikes with spectacular views over all of the Tasawas. As there is no light pollution, stargazing is breathtaking and the manta ray passage is just around the corner. The accommodation is very basic with a bucket shower and no-flush-toilet, but the beds are comfortable and the food is great. Note that the water available is rain water, so if you want to go safe, bring your own bottled water (or aqua-tabs) from the mainland because there are no real shops on the island. Also, you should wear a Sulu (Sarong) around the village and in church, men too. And it’s expected that you bring a kava root (worth 20 FJ$) and/or some money to present to the chief of the village when you arrive.

Featuring mountain views, Tai Evi homestay provides accommodation with a private beach area, around a few steps from White Sandy Beach. Towels and bed linen are featured in the guest house.

Family was amazing. Food was amazing. Remote location was amazing. Beautifully authentic experience, that will long live on in our memory. Was such an honour to connect with the host family, play with the kids, and be so warmly welcomed into the village community. I hope all who come be sure to give presence and thanks to the land and its people. It is a rare and special thing to be able to live so simply in this untouched and untainted way -- this is the first and only homestay in Soso Bay (largest village in the Yasawas). Wow, wow, wow. We miss it already!

Tai Evi is set in Soso. Among the facilities at this property are a housekeeping service and a minimarket, along with free WiFi throughout the property.

Everything I needed. Comfortable bed and a beautiful view. The family running this home stay is wonderful. Delicious home cooked meals. If you’re lucky, you might get crab for dinner. It was divine. Our stay at this guesthouse in Matacawalevu Island was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The food was absolutely amazing, every meal was delicious and traditional. Our room was so huge and beautifully maintained, it felt like the perfect holiday we were dreaming about. The guesthouse is perfectly located close to the beach, where we enjoyed kayaking around. One of the best things of our stay was visiting the nearby Sawa-i-Lau caves, an easy trip from the guesthouse, and taking part in local life through a village and church visit (the experience felt really authentic). This wasn’t just a stay, it was a real Fijian experience. We're so grateful to the wonderful family who hosted us and made everything so special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true experience away from everything.
