We stayed for 6 nights over New Years to escape the fireworks and chaos in Netherlands. We were a big group with dogs and we loved the quiet location, which is a close walk to a bakery and bigger shops available in Hazebrouck not far away. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating. The house is even better in reality than the photos. They really have a gem, this is a great place to stay.

This is a very special place. We stayed on a cold night on December and received the very warmest welcome from the owner Didier. He tells wonderful stories about former guests Siegfried Sassoon and Earl Haig. The interiors are filled with a lovely collection of antique furniture, paintings, drawings, and books, all exquisitely arranged. The house, and our room, were impeccably clean. The room was beautifully furnished, and we really appreciated the pristine, monogrammed, thick, white, cotton bedsheets. Gorgeous. Breakfast was beautifully presented with fine china and table linen. Perfect croissants, baguette, home made jam, and fresh juice and coffee. We would love to return in the summer to enjoy the garden and pond that Sassoon loved so much. We highly recommend a stay at this magical place.
