Loved the whole experience, lovely decor, lovely hote, cosy, tranquil outdoor areas. And of course we slept in a cave!! Amazing!

Fabulous big room - with a very welcome bath! We appreciated the fresh flowers too. It was also really good to have the kitchen area to save us having to go out to eat. Host was very generous and kind, especially as I mucked up our reservation initially.

It was a rather peculiar trip for us. We have traveled to France often before, but none of them made us feel a different side of French culture like this time. The guesthouse was converted from a cave by the owner himself. Under his careful decoration, modern furniture and caves are mixed together, which makes us feel convenient and cozy, but at the same time has a very special feeling. And the cave guesthouse is decorated with a somewhat religious feel and a sense of ritual. The owner has a high artistic taste and gives a wonderful artistic atmosphere to such a guesthouse. In his guesthouse, from the large furniture at home to each painting in the yard, all have their own stories. Just like the stream flowing every day, they quietly tell their own stories. If you like artwork, this guesthouse is the right choice for you. The owner is very kind, and not only brings breakfast every morning. He also showed us around the village where the guesthouse is located. If not for the owner's careful narration, we would not have known that such a village has such a long history, which was quite shocking. It was even more amazing when the owner showed us the third cave guesthouse he was about to renovate. The owner said that it was a cave that had been inhabited by humans since the Neolithic era, which means that this cave is more than 7,000 years old. Looking at this unfinished cave, we truly admire the owner's persistence in developing the cave guesthouse. However, we believe that with the owner's skillful hands, this third cave guesthouse will be even more glorious. We like this kind of guesthouse because it can bring tourists a very different feeling, not just a place to sleep during the tour. We don't know how to describe this guesthouse except wonderful. Wonderful guesthouse, everything is wonderful!

This was a renovated rustic manor house in a quiet location on the outskirts of Montoire sur le Loir with a lovely pool area and outdoor seating areas. There was a large communal guest lounge with TV and DVDs (some in English) and large dining table for 6 people and a communal kitchen where our host Jerome prepared a good breakfast. We had the double bedroom with a small modern ensuite shower room. There were 2 other bedrooms (adjoined) with use of the downstairs bathroom. There was secure parking and we were given a remote control for the external gates. Good location for cycling along the Loir river (Sport Passion 41 bike hire shop in Montoire but closed Sunday and Monday) and there was a Lidl just down the road in Montoire. We had a lovely meal in the Italian restaurant Le Piron on Jerome's recommendation. A nice relaxing stay.
