The rooms were absolutely lovely and beautiful. Marianne and Stéphane are such good hosts. They even told us about the history of the building and as history nerds we really appreciated it! Breakfast was wonderful in a beautiful setting. Listen to Stéphane when he tells you which restaurants are worth visiting. The fact there is a private parking was a massive plus!

This was more of an apartment than a room. Imagine pictures in a magazine and this is what greets you. Beautifully decorated and modern styling both indoors and in the garden pool area. It was clean and fresh. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Secure parking for one car is available. It is slightly out of the town centre and castle area. You can probably walk it but it was raining the day we arrived.

The location of Chic Bastide is perfect for exploring Carcassonne. A short walk from the station, and then a wonderful scenic stroll up to the historic quarter of the city. The apartment is really comfortable and peaceful. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. Serge is a wonderful host, and made us feel very welcome. I can highly recommend Chic Bastide.

Superb apartment. Everything you need. Very clean and very comfortable. The garden is private and secure with parking. Our hosts, Jean-Pierre and Nicole were very informative and gave us a huge welcome. Always on hand with advice if you need it. Snacks, coffee, and beers in the fridge. Nice touch. We stayed 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. I can't recommend this place enough.

Just everything! It was perfectly furnished, the location just couldn't be better, the Jacuzzi a dream and the atmosphere balanced between history, culture and a feel-good holiday! This little apartment is in a perfect location. It's on a side street that's a cul de sac. When you come out the door, if you turn right, you walk into the old castle full of lovely little street with cafes, restaurants, and shops. If you turn left, there is a beautiful walk along a canal/river bank. Everything is within walking distance. I took 2 taxis while I was here. 1 from train station to apartment for Eur11 and 1 to the airport for Eur22.00. Both fares were about right for distance travelled. The apartment was easy to access, key left in a lock box, there are a few steps (approx 8 to 10)inside the door leading up to the apartment door, but they are easy to manage. The furniture is very comfortable, especially the sofa and armchair.. The shower is excellent. Good supply strength and plenty of hot water on demand. The mattress and pillows were tops for comfort. The old bridge is a 4 minute walk. I wasn't mad about the new yown or the square. There wasn't much to do or see in the area. The canal and old city were the best spots. Really enjoyed the boat trip on the canal. Worth every penny. Didn't need to rent a bike. Maybe next time. The two little cakes on arrival were perfect touch. Also the additional supplies, rice, pasta, salt, spices, oil, tea and coffee. Thank you. I highly recommend and would stay here again without hesitation.
