Le Bois Gautier is a great place handled by very friendly and supportive people. The accommodation is nice, clean, and cozy - a farm house appearence with all the modern amenities. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool (heated!) while we could relax in a peaceful countryside atmosphere. The farm is located close to a couple of small towns (shops, restaurants etc.) and, from our point of view, it was a convenient base for shorter and longer car trips. Bill and Karen are there to help you with any topics and to provide you with smart local hints.

Parking available in the area, although we did go during low season. Rooms were spacious. TV entertainment was provided which was a bonus! Also the owners were very friendly and provided tips to continue our journey.

From the moment I arrived, the lovely Celeste & Patrick made me part of their family! Their charming Chambre d’Hote is clean and comfortable with everything that you need for a relaxing stay. The highlight, however, is their dinner and breakfast which is all beautifully home made and served in their kitchen which is a lovely way to get to know them and the other guests. Dinner is a delicious multi course affair with a home made cider aperitif for me, and Patrick keeping the wine glasses topped up. They are both lovely and natural hosts and we shared a lovely evening! In the morning, the breakfast table literally groans under the weight of the food and drink including Celeste’s amazing home made cakes and pastries - perfect for a hungry cyclist! I genuinely hope I can return soon as I’m missing them already!

A beautiful house in a stunning location, overlooking a scenic lake in the centre of town. The house is very well equipped and decorated to a high standard. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the region. Perfect for a cycling base.
