Fabulous breakfast delivered to the room with a huge selection to choose from. Excellent food very nicely presented and couldn't have asked for a better view! The quality of the accommodation was matched by the warmth of the welcome. A thoroughly nice place to stay. Whilst we were there just one night on the NC500, I could envisage coming back with the family and making a long weekend of it - plenty to see and do within an hours drive.

Everything, seriously. It's abundantly clear that Sheila takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality to her guests - she is a wonderful host. The Mansefield room was as beautiful as it was immaculate, and the stay here was one of the highlights of our trip. Bed was unbelievably comfy - I slept like a baby - and the breakfast was an absolute treat.

Unpreposessing frontage gives way to a truly excellent hotel with big rooms that are immaculate and beautifully dressed. The rooms are named after the tradesmen who built them which is a lovely touch. Food good, staff welcoming and funny. plenty of choice in the bar. The cheapest place we stayed as we did the NC500 and comfortably the best.

Sheila was a wonderful host. the room was gorgeous, with an amazing view of the bay. The breakfasts were fantastic and Sheila provided afternoon tea for us when we stayed in to watch the Queens funeral.
