United KingdomBeautiful tranquil gardens , large ponds , wildlife . No noise apart from occasionally hearing the owls at night , just absolute heaven . Very private . Immaculately clean, very comfortable and relaxing modern interior. Comfortable beds with luxury bedding . We stayed early December, we were warm and snug, loved the under floor heating in the bathroom . Everything is planned and laid out well . Lots to see in the area and some first class restaurants recommended by the owners are left on the welcome pack . Would definitely love to return it was a magical experience staying at The Duck House . The owners are incredibly nice . You won’t get better than this .

Rachel and Paul were fantastic hosts, the house was gorgeous and the facilities made sure we had everything needed. The house has a great patio and garden area for the children to run around. Nothing was a problem, they really made our trip that much easier, - above and beyond wouldn't cover it. Thank you to you both, we appreciated your hospitality. Excellent selection at breakfast, everything was great quality and nicely cooked. The room (snowdrop) was beautiful and really relaxing. We had a great nights sleep. The miniature exhibition in the shop was excellent, very well done. The setting is unique and we learned a lot about this historic house focusing on the time of Henry viii and the Astor family. We enjoyed the setting of extravagant hospitality which was designed for guests of a very rich rich and cultured gentleman and his family. Lovely walk in the park which is even of season impressive.
