The room was spacious, really comfy beds. Check was easy and staff were kind to keep our fridge necessities since the room didn’t have one. Breakfast not included but I paid for it and it was lovely. Kid ate free. Central to town so a perfect spot.

I did a lot of hostel travel 20+ years ago in my single days. This was my first time using a hostel for a family trip and it was slightly above what I expected. The host was extremely kind, and having bedding supplied was very helpful as we were not traveling with sleeping bags. It was clean, quiet, met nice people (a fun reminder of my more youthful travel days) and an all-around good experience, even though it rained the whole time we were there, but I won't hold that against the hostel.

It's a hostel; I only used it because I was travelling alone. Smartphones have fundamentally changed hostels - most people didn't engage much. The place is well-kept, warm and welcoming. The host is gregarious and organised.

The location was beautiful, the food excellent and the staff were terrific. Their knowledge of the food and what wines went with what was very good. Also they were friendly and some quite funny and very hard working.
