I loved the location of the property about 10/ 20 minutes drive from most of the historic sites we wanted to see. The house is about 10 minutes drive outside Stromness in a very quiet location, by a quiet roadside. The owner Simon was so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful and he responded to our requests for information immediately. The house has everything you need and was comfortable, warm and spotless and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property. Love Orkney and thank you Simon for all the info and suggestions for spectacular walks, we even saw puffins at Brough of Birsay and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Standing Stones Hotel listening to the Birsay boys play in the folk festival! Hope to return one day to explore the islands further.

The house is perfect and an ideal location for all main Orkney attractions on the main island. We also loved the hot tub and the weather was great for most of the week. Plenty of space to chill and relax. Excellent space for a family of 6 and loved the living room upstairs. Very novel but works very well. Everything needed for a top notch self catering house. And the welcome pack was AMAZING! A fantastic touch by Sarah the host. Highly recommend.

The hosts made the place extra special. Very helpful and accommodating. A lovely family owned place. Very relaxing. Rooms clean and quiet. Nice meeting other guests in the lounge room. Close to Kirkwall centre. Great place to stay for a few or several days.

The lodges were a dream come true for our kids. They loved staying in what they called the ‘tiny house’ and didn’t want to leave. We had the family one with the hunks beds. Sitting in the hot tub with a view out over farmland to the sea was lovely.

Eric, our host, was very friendly and helpful, recommending local restaurants. We were impressed with his energy, bearing in mind that his wife had just given birth to her first child! The room and bathroom were very well renovated with all mod cons. The shower and heating controls were both easy to operate. A very comfortable and quiet stay.

Beautifully appointed wee cabin. They really made the most of the space and everything was finished to a high standard with cute little touches. We were able to cook and eat around the table as a family of four. It's a small space but the bunk beds were adorable for the kids and jacuzzi great for an evening under the stars after bedtime. The play structure was also great and there was a nice fenced in flat space to kick a ball in front with a lovely view. Would definitely return.
