It was gorgeous. Plenty of parking space, the local taxi service knows it well, the wildlife around is good for nature and animal lovers alike (when I opened my kitchen curtains that first morning I saw chickens roaming around outside). There are plenty of books and DVDs in the foyer for guests to take to their apartments and read/watch. There is plenty of garden furniture outside so if the weather permits you could sit outside. The apartment itself was very clean and homely. You don’t need to bring anything with you in terms of kitchenware I’d say as there are all the usual pots, pans, cheese grater, kettle, strainer, scissors, etc. Plenty of kitchen towels and bathroom towels too and I’m sure if you needed anything the owners are easy to contact as they included their phone number in the welcome book. The welcome book has everything you need to know including check in/ check out procedure and what you can do in the surrounding area and what you can find in your apartment. The wifi code and password was on a piece of paper in the kitchen on the cabinet and the wifi is very fast which I was really thankful for. The living area space and bedroom was combined into one large room which would be good for people with limited mobility (I was on the ground floor). I had the soundest sleep I have had in a while in that large, soft bed. The TV has plenty of channels and there is a large quarter length mirror and plenty of hangers. There are also plenty of lighting options (the big light, bedside lamp, two floor lamps). The bathroom was spacious with a combined shower and bath and a mirror above the sink and a smaller mirror on the shelf for if you need to see yourself up close for doing makeup etc. Plenty of toilet roll and hand towels and luxury shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. I honestly couldn’t have wanted anything more and I would absolutely stay here again if I found myself out that way again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Location, comfort, warm and welcoming. Fire lit when we came in on a cold day and lots of attention to detail, made our stay exceptional.

Lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Lovely little basket with treats left for us. Hot tub was brilliant and stunning views.

We stayed for a week at Croft 11 in Clovullin in mid-May 2024. Our arrival was incredibly welcoming. On arrival we were able to enter our cottage by taking the key from a key box. This meant we were not dependent on the availability of our host or a rental agent. Arriving at the cottage immediately made us happy. A huge sea of ​​flowers in the garden with a super cute cottage. The cottage does not look large from the outside, but it is very spacious on the inside. The host loves gardening and has her personal vegetable garden behind the cottage. As a guest you will not be bothered by the host when she works in her vegetable garden. You are guaranteed privacy sufficiently. The cottage has a modern country style, clean and hygienic and is equipped with every comfort and convenience. Upon arrival, our host Catherine had placed a bouquet of fresh flowers on the dining table, as well as a bottle of wine, fresh eggs, half a loaf of bread, jam and fresh milk. So that if we hadn't been able to do any shopping, we could at least have breakfast the next morning. Meeting host Catherine was very pleasant. Catherine is a woman with a warm and enthusiastic personality. In addition to explaining the most important things about the cottage, she was willing to take us or pick us up on specific hikes (the start and end points of which are not the same). How hospitable is that?! The host is originally from New Zealand. That explains why the kitchen is so well stocked with pots, pans and other cooking utensils. So far we haven't come across many woks in rental houses. Well in Croft 11. That saves you having to do some shopping or take luggage from home. The only less comfortable aspect of this cottage are the kitchen chairs. These are old church chairs.
