The room was beautiful, the lake was lovely and it was great having a pool table to use for free! Clive was lovely and gave us useful recommendations for pubs and local walks.

Dinner - whether in the dining room or bar was excellent. Imaginative and very tasty (e.g. fresh crab ravioli, lobster and a prawn bisque with baby spinnage leaves) . Similarly for the breakfast. Great room. Very friendly and obliging owner with polite, well trained and efficient staff.

Loved the decor. Really liked the attention to detail such as the picnic breakfast, there were brownies in the room when we arrived as a little snack. Enough coffee for several cups. A small fridge with water and fruit juice. Milk for coffee. It was all really lovely. White linen, good quality towels.
