The complimentary breakfast (cereals & toast) were a particularly nice and unexpected touch, with options for the children, as well as the adults. The black out blinds and quiet location ensured a good sleep. The black out blinds being particularly useful for kids on a summer evening who won’t sleep until it’s dark! The on-site restaurant was excellent with a varied and interesting breakfast menu, with gluten-free choices. We had small children and babies in our party and the restaurant owners were very understanding and helpful. Good forest walks and bike rides on the doorstep and a good pub, The Bell, in the nearby pretty village of Ticehurst.
