The accomodation was very nice. The hosts were more than wonderful, very friendly and welcoming, always ready to talk to us, give us some helpful advice. The apartment was comfortable, we had an attic that you had to climb to with a ladder, very fun for the kids. It is very well equipped, you have everything you need. It is emerged in olive and fig trees and the view from our apartment was amazing, facing the coastline and the beautiful sea. The owners had a lot of cats in the yard so our kids had a lot of fun playing with them. Mrs Stella went beyond hospitality and baked us a chocolate cake, which we really enjoyed eating with a cup of coffee on our splendid terrace.

Situated in the picturesque village of Armenistis, next to Livadi and Messakti Beach, this charming hotel offers a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and surrounded by the local attractions.

Lovely view and the house is far enough from the village to be quiet but only 5 minutes walk, which was really convenient. The last part of the road is a dirt road, but you can always leave the car and continue on foot for a couple of minutes. The host was very helpful and welcoming and we would love to stay there again in our next visit.

We are currently staying in Karavostamo but fancied a change of scenery. I had holidayed in Greece for 21 of the 26 years together, but recently my partner died and I have found it difficult to settle this year. The Mesaktis Rooms were exactly what I needed. A beautiful tranquil setting, our terrace looked down on to a small lagoon. The owners gave me and my friend homemade lemonade and the most delicious homegrown figs, which we consumed whilst overlooking the lagoon, which was home to over 30 turtles! We were given bread with which to feed them. What a sight to feast your eyes on while we drank our delicious lemonade! The accommodation is rustic, it’s not luxurious, but it’s what we both loved about this place. There are tavernas beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make a simple meal. There are tavernas maybe 5 minutes walk away, a mini market next door, and over the road there is probably the best beach on Ikaria - Mesaktis beach. At the far end is a lagoon in which you can see even more turtles! The hosts, as you may have picked up on, were so generous and warm. I miss the place, the kittens and Sadi the dog already. This has been the standout experience so far of this 3 week Greek island hopping trip. I absolutely loved it, and it helped me along in my grief journey. To the owners: thank you for your hospitality, for letting me leave the car on your premises after we had checked out, and sorry for taking the room key!

We have booked an apartment with pool and gorgeous ocean view. The remote location is fantastic and the next tavernas not to far away (Nas/Armenistis). The host is very polite and offered a great hospitality. She tries to help you to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We can really recommend this apartment. There is even access to a small beach just a few meters away.
