Family hotels and homes in Skala

Villa Zacharo is a quiet, family-run hotel, with a good location outside the busy part of the town of Skala, but just a few minutes walk from the port, bus stop and many restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable. A good buffet breakfast was provided, one of the few places I stayed this year to do so.

Nicolas and his family are very kind and helpful people. Nicolas picked us up from the port and till we rent a car, he dropped us where ever we wanted to go. There was no breakfast but they always gave us some fresh fruits, vegetables from the garden and well made cakes&cookies :) We stayed there with our 4 years old daughter. She also enjoyed a lot as there are lots of animals in the farm like goats and rabbits :)

A family run hotel and it's greatest asset is Anna Maria at the reception, a real gem. She is professional, friendly, caring and communicative. The hotel is very nice, a bit older and well renovated so the old charm and style is preserved. My room was facing the garden, quiet with a view towards Chora. The bed was comfortable (was upgraded to a double instead of two single beds - nice gesture), everything was tidy and clean. It is situated very close to the harbor and the bus stop. When I return to Patmos, Delfini will be my first choice.

The property was just as described. Lovely little balcony with view over Skala and useful washing line and pegs for drying. Nicholas and his family were very friendly. Picking us up from the ferry, driving us to car hire company. Dropping us back. Watermelon on arrival and lovely fruit during our stay. We checked out of our room on the last day but Nicholas gave us three use of a room to shower and change after a beach visit before leaving for the ferry.

We spent 5 days at Villa Zacharo and we had 2 rooms: a twin and a double. Rooms are very simple but functional. Location is convenient, next to a bus stop, a supermarket and walking distance to everything needed in Skala. Hot and cold water available in the reception area, as well as nescafé, tea bags. Breakfast was good. Very kind family running the hotel. We could benefit of a late check-out for one of the 2 rooms on departure day. Excellent value for money.

Lovely family hotel and excellent staff care. Comfortable room and air conditioning. Beautiful view to the west.

Location is unbeatable - you can really maximise your trip from this location. Even though it’s so central it was never noisy at night when in the room. Convenient on premises parking. Staff were all so lovely and helpful and bear in mind I was travelling with a child and a noisy toddler but was always made to feel welcome. Cleaning staff very friendly and immediately came to help when I needed. Breakfast was great, large selection and helpful staff
