Astri, the girl managing the place is super kind, smiley and helpful. We thought we booked a room, but eventually had a tiny apartment for ourselves! We had to leave very early and it was all nicely organised. If in Sorong, totally recommend Baronda!

Rina organised pickup from airport at 6am and also came to meet me. Let me check in early and gave me breakfast then helped me sort out local sim. This is basic room but It was a pleasure to meet Rina and her family and dinner was delicious. Only 10 minutes from port to meet liveaboard.

We had a fantastic stay at GD Homestay. We arrived very early in the morning, and although our room wasn’t ready yet (as they were waiting for a guest to check out), Anitha kindly cleared out a room in her own home so we could rest for a few hours. She was incredibly warm and accommodating. The rooms were spotless, the linens smelled fresh, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. They also provide a water dispenser with free drinking water, which was a great touch. Before heading to our liveaboard in Raja Ampat, we stayed here and again on our return. They generously let us store our luggage while we were away, and when we came back ten days later, our bag was already waiting for us in our room. Overall, a genuinely welcoming and comfortable experience—highly recommended.
