Celebrating my birthday during this luxurious retreat was made even more special by the unique touch of personalised attention. Upon returning to my room after a day of exploring the grounds, I was met with a delightful surprise—a beautifully adorned table featuring a small, delicious birthday cake. The attention to detail was impeccable, and it was evident that the manager had gone above and beyond to make this moment memorable. It was a delightful treat, and the accompanying birthday card added a warm, personal touch that left a lasting impression. What made this experience truly exceptional was the manager's genuine effort to ensure that my birthday was celebrated in a way that surpassed my expectations. Absolutely EVERYTHING, I am just sorry to be traveling solo this time and not with my wife and our baby boy accompanying! I think I got lucky enough to get offered the “suite” of the hotel, great room with big windows and views over the bay, bed with a mattress with a feeling like “sleeping in the clouds”, nice decoration. And the pub is simply LEGENDARY. The pub food is the best I have ever tried in Ireland (and I lived there for near 8 years before) both in quality and variety. I got also B&B and the breakfast was a la carte with no restrictions. The music live sessions going on every evening where simply class, great covers of all time classics. A true pleasure to enjoy there the grand finale of the Six Nations and Ireland’s historic Grand Slam. The hotel is at the Bray seafront within 5 minutes walking distance to the DART and close to many shops and the Main Street. The reception ladies were super polite and attentive and the young lads waiters were all courteous and kind. Rooms cleaned and serviced every day

The area is really picturesque and like something from a a fairy tale. I recently found out an actual Disney movie was filmed here, which doesn’t surprise me. The room at the inn is so cosy and comfortable, with a lovely selection of hot drinks, and the ambient pub has the most delicious food. Plus, everyone is super friendly.

The 4* Mespil Hotel is located in the city centre alongside the Grand Canal & within walking distance to St. Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street, Aviva Stadium and the Ballsbridge area.

Super cozy and not too far from the centre. Staff was lovey and helpful. I loved the lady who was around the breakfast room in the morning, she was so so lovely.
