The Carrick Gate is just an all round great place. Located on the river right in town. So clean, newly refurbished, comfortable and excellent Continental breakfast with loads of choices. We were the only ones there being winter so it was lovely and quiet. We booked late and had a bit of delay making phone contact for the key, but that was fixed up quickly for us. Absolutely beautiful and comfortable B&B! It exceeded our expectations. The host was so kind and responsive. The location was perfect for us, as we were hiking Slieve League the following morning. Close drive into town. Breakfast was exceptional, and they even had a great vegetarian option. We will absolutely return next time we're in Ireland!
