We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at Visalam. Very beautiful art deco house : authenticity and charm. Excellent place with a very kind and professional team. Food excellent too : all is local and tasty. We loved to have breakfast in the garden, lunch at the pool and dinner on the terrace. Pool area is very pleasant too. The hotel propose visits and activities, we did the heritage walk, cycling tour and temple tour..all were very nice. It was also very easy to discuss with the other guests, probably because the atmosphere of the house was harmonius. Kavita the receptionist was simply the best of her kind: welcoming, friendly, informative, inquisitive with a heartwarming life story too. The place itself was charming. Large, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast in nearby Chettinadu Mansion was ample and good, as was dinner there too. Kanadukathan is a fabulous and unique place in India with its magnificent Chettinadu mansions. An oasis of calm from normal hectic India.
