Breakfast was brilliant, having a private cook who made you all your favorites was out of this world. Plus he was a Gem of a guy. The owner is very lucky to have someone like him in this day and age.

It is a quiet, unique, and really pleasant destination. The host is truly friendly and helpful. We ask for some indications, a boat trip in Backwater canals and lakes, help to organize a trip to Thekkady in the mountains etc. All of it was easy and comfortable because of our host assistance. The local food served at breakfast and dinners was really tasty and safe. We have chosen it instead of the British like breakfasts and it was a good choice. Thanks a lot! The waters around are salt cause it is ocean backwater and because of that there were no moscitos, no flies, it was a nice surprise as well. It is far enough from town and main roads to be quiet and close enough to go to Kochin or a beach by scooter. The nearby Pallithode beach is empty, no tourists at all, just fishermen in a long distance... And boats, sand, and palms...

So many things to like about this place ! Hosts - Mr & Mrs Jos are really warm, friendly and lovely hosts. Their attention to details is what makes the difference between a good space to a wonderful one. Breakfast - sumptuous and Mrs. Jos is a phenomenal cook. If you are open to exploring the local cuisine, perfect place to try it out. Location and property : for a couple, this is a massive space, and hols true to a large extent for a group of 4-5 people too. Water front location, idyllic and quiet. The waterfront property always adds a different charm. Also, the photos don't do complete justice to the place. The outdoor shower is a blessing and beautiful. Lovely little lanes nearby to explore , populated by different assortment of cats, leading up to the backwater/lagoon. If you want peace and quiet, be it a stayacation or just a space from the urban humdrum, this place fits the bill to the T. Also, it is not super far from fort kochi and can serve as a hub to explore the city and get back to. This was a good vacation for us and we were really happy to spend time here. Wonderful place to stay, so peaceful and relaxing, you can listen to the waves all day sitting outside on the balcony, a very pleasant place, the room was spacious comfortable and clean, can not fault this abode in any way, The owners are so helpful with everything you would need, They go out of there way just to help you in any way they can, They are the most kind hearted and thoughtful people we ever met on our holiday, there family were also very helpful and kind, we will miss them all, overall our stay at the property I give a 10, but they deserve more than a 10 Hope to go back one day, A huge thank you to everyone for making us so welcome and all the help they provided.Steve and Arlene.
