Owner Sajeev and caretaker Vijayan looked after us really well during our stay. The location is fantastic - it's outside Varkala which is great if you are looking for somewhere away from the tourist crowds but bear the beach. There was a quiet beach nearby which we had almost to ourselves at times. Swimming in the sea as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our trip to India. The room was a good size with air con and a fan. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace. There is also a washing machine for guests which was really helpful for us as we are backpacking. We were lucky enough to have visited during a Hindu festival and saw plenty of free entertainment at the temple next door. Varkala is only a short tuktuk ride away and has all sorts of different restaurants and shops. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Wonderful beach. Amazing staff. Beautiful property with hammock’s in green, lush surroundings. Nice view of ocean also from breakfast location. Shopping at the end of the beach, very nice in every way.

The Guesthouse is very clean, large room with a nice patio and view of the sea. Only 10 minute walking from the north cliff with a lot of restaurant available. There’s a small but nice swimming pool too. The owners were very kind, they helped us for any requests, the taxi and the use of swimming pool extra time. If you want a quiet nice place not far from the north cliff, i suggest 💯 this place.

I had a wonderful stay at Kallayi Beachside Retreat. The location is calm, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway by the beach. The property is well-maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. A special mention goes to our host Fiazal, who was extremely warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the stay. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms are very pretty - best room and bathroom we had in India. The hosts and staff are really nice. They help you with everything you need. There is a good breakfast with fruit salad, juice, curry & omlette available. The location is also quite nice. From the homestay it just takes a two minute walk to Edava Beach (not crowded and clean). It is possible to rent Scooters if you want to go to Varkala - round about 10min ride (we rented one for the whole week and needed it everyday to go out for dinner and coffee or to go to Varkala).

Location of this place is very unique. Amazing view to a rice field with combination of beach 2 minutes away is really ulatimate combo! So much green around, so many animals, and action of nature. Just wow! Moreover Safi is very nice host. He is always available and ready to help with everthing.
