Owner Sajeev and caretaker Vijayan looked after us really well during our stay. The location is fantastic - it's outside Varkala which is great if you are looking for somewhere away from the tourist crowds but bear the beach. There was a quiet beach nearby which we had almost to ourselves at times. Swimming in the sea as the sun went down was one of the highlights of our trip to India. The room was a good size with air con and a fan. Breakfast was served outside on the terrace. There is also a washing machine for guests which was really helpful for us as we are backpacking. We were lucky enough to have visited during a Hindu festival and saw plenty of free entertainment at the temple next door. Varkala is only a short tuktuk ride away and has all sorts of different restaurants and shops. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Very good staff and manager! Very helpfull. Clean beach (always) and clean very comfortable rooms. I can reccomend it! Place very good for people who looks very good quality. The best place in Varkala (about 20 mins from shops in Varkala Cliff).

Our room was spacious with beautiful terrace to relax. The house and facilities are new, very clean and well maintained. Location is quiet, just one minute walk to the nice Odayam beach. Several decent restaurants nearby. We could choose breakfast in Blue Water Resort or home made keralas breakfast on the terrace. Faizal and his family are great hosts always ready to help onsite or via WatsApp.

Wave a Lokam is Amazing, Writing this review feels essential because this stay was genuinely special. From the moment I arrived, I found a safe, welcoming space that felt like home, thanks to the hosts’ warmth and genuine care. I stayed for two days and could feel the love they pour into every detail. They even have two adopted pets who traveled from Mumbai, and they are the sweetest, most well-behaved companions. You hardly notice they’re there – just calm, quiet, and adorable. The authentic kerala food is top-notch prepared at the stay by wonderful women team, with such care that every meal felt nourishing and comforting - Sabby thank you for preparing Maharashtra dish for us:) If you’re looking for a peaceful, uncrowded place to unwind, this is the one. Location of this place is very unique. Amazing view to a rice field with combination of beach 2 minutes away is really ulatimate combo! So much green around, so many animals, and action of nature. Just wow! Moreover Safi is very nice host. He is always available and ready to help with everthing.
