Lighthouse Inn is a fantastic spot in Gardur only 15mins drive from the airport. We decided not to hire a car and so a taxi cost us about 6000krone from the airport and the next day we bussed into Reykjavik using the public buses. We dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were so well looked after by Roberto. The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast! We were hoping to spot the northern lights while out of the city but weren’t lucky this stay but would definitely return again as the Lighthouse Inn feels like such a treat! The lady on reception when we arrived was an absolute delight as well! You won’t be disappointed by a stay here. The facilities are top notch and a walk around the lighthouses is a must, it’s a peaceful and gorgeous place to be.

Amazing view from bath. If we come back to Iceland, we would choose this house again. There was all we need. Hosts took care of every single detail. Everything is high quality. This apartment is for demanding people.

Very cute house done up with details ! It was a lovely experience to stay in a typical old Islandic house surrounded only by a few other equally old houses , close to the sea .

Super nice and confy studio, 5 minutes away from the airport. The deco is super nice, There is a very nice garden behind the studio. The host is great, with some helpful informations. And we saw some northern lights on top of the house, just amazing. 100% recommended

The apartment is so tastefully designed, quiet, and comfortable. It has amazingly well equipped kitchen, separate classy & quiet bedroom, and spa like bathroom (with luxurious toiletries). All the details of the apartment show how diligent the owners are. Apartment location is super convenient, very close to the airport. Also, close to a couple of grocery stores where one can stock-up before the road trip. And petrol station and restaurants. Owners are super responsive and kind. They’ve even left some welcome goodies for us, which was well appreciated. Exceptional accommodation! Highly recommended.
