Everything was great!! Unnur, the host, is super responsive and lovely. The guesthouse is spacious, beautiful and clean. The dining area is really large and has a beautiful view. There’s all sorts of things in the kitchen to help you cook, like oil and spices. And indeed Unnur and her husband cooked tasty pancakes for breakfast served with jam and maple syrup. Definitely recommend this place!!

I loved Askot cottages! The hosts were so friendly and willing to let us spend some time with the horses, the view was quite nice, and the cottage was so cozy and comfortable. I could have stayed there for my entire trip and be more than satisfied!

We liked this place so much, so we came back again for a second stay, after hiking the Laugavegur trail. Great place to stay as a family of 3, enough room for everyone. Clean, cozy and located close to many of South Iceland attractions.

A cozy guest house, our best stay in Iceland! Véronique is super friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were at home. The facility is very very clean and equipped with everything we need. Beds are comfortable, the shower and the toilet are also very clean. Slightly out of the busy area made it easy to see the northern lights. All that for a very affordable price.

Although I stayed only for one night, it felt like home to me! Our host is exceptionally service oriented and her attention to details is mind blowing. Everything is so clean and well organized. The remote area is fantastic - beautiful views everywhere, very quiet, surrounded by nature! The cabin was warm and the heating system was perfect for the size of the cabin. Internet connection was perfect - very fast internet and coverage into the cabin. Perfect place for good relax!

This property was great for what I was looking for, I’m a solo traveler who came to Iceland chasing the Northern Lights and this location was perfect! It sits on a hill overlooking the valley which gave great perspective of the sky, hella is about 15 minutes away which is a nice little town that carries groceries, gas, and liquor store. The location is also central to many of the great tourist attractions to the eastern/ central of the island

It was very cosy, with a beautiful rural location. Amazing views, and very secluded. Lovely dogs on the farm were a highlight View of beautiful Icelandic ponies too.
